No matter where you are in terms of being a Pickup Artist (PUA), there is aways some element of your game that needs to be worked on and improved. The first step is to decide what this element is. Awareness is sometimes curative, so do the following: 1) Sit down and decide, with a piece of paper, exactly what you want in terms of meeting women and in being more comfortable around and with women. Determine where you are at and where you need to be. Secondly you will need to start taking actions on a daily basis. Knowledge is a good thing, but knowledge in and of itself will not get you anything. Applied knowledge is much more powerful and effective than knowledge in and of itself. If all you did was to start asking out a different woman every day you would instantly have more women in your life. But it really takes more than that to be a truly successful pickup artist. So the second step is... 2) Decide that you will do what it takes to succeed. You will learn what you need to learn and do what you need to do to achieve your seduction and pickup goals. This will involve getting out of your comfort zone and stretching your mind beyond your current mental limitations. My recommendation is that you start by reading. The Art of ApproachingI love this book and feel it is the best one to start with. Let's face it, the approach is the start of it all. If seduction is a numbers game, then the more women you approach, the more you will close. How many times have you spied a woman you’re attracted to across the room and struggled to come up with a way to meet her? You find yourself asking, "What will I say?" "How should I make my approach?" "Will I be rejected?" You have to agree that for most men the approach is the hardest part of seduction. I know it was for me. Let’s face it, if you can’t master the approach all that other knowledge you have is wasted.This book provides you with the tools and knowledge that allow you to be comfortable in any approach situation. The book is very readable and is laid out in such a manner that you’ll soon have no trouble meeting women in all types of situations. I like the way The Art of Approaching provides you with a step by step method. This book works on both sides of the seduction equation, the outer game - meeting women and reading the subtle clues she gives you, and your inner game - building up your self-confidence and self-esteem so that you stop worrying about rejection and uncertainty.The Art of Approaching is written by Joesph Matthews, who is one of the Pick-Up artists written about in Neil Strauss's book, "The Game". He definitely has the background and experience to know what he is talking about. Most important, the information in The Art of Approaching is something you can apply the first day you get it. I did recommend that you pick up this book above. If you haven't read it yet, then pick it up now! Neil Strauss has written the definitive text on the Pick-Up Artist (PUA) community and the path you need to travel from where you are now to where you want to be. Everyone seeking to understand women, and the reasons men would study seduction, should read this book. The book takes you along Strauss' journey from Average Frustrated Chump (AFC) to one of the most skilled PUA's in the seduction business. Now I am sure there is a fair amount of liberties taken in the book for marketing purposes, but this voluke should be part of any aspiring PUA's library.Neil Strauss' writing style is compelling, drawing the reader into the world of the PUA and teaching you several techniques along the way. The Game was not written to be a "How-To" manual, nor does it read like one, but there are plenty of techniques, pick-up routines, and philosopy that you will learn while you read. An important thing to take away from the book is that seduction is not all about technique - who you are and what you project is what really matters. Buy the book and read it. Along the way outline the steps Strauss took to become a successful PUA. He improved his image and body language, he changed his vocabulary, he formed a mastermind group with like-minded individuals and he was constantly out there in the field, testing and trying new techniques until he found what worked for him. 4. Love Systems (Formally The Mystery Method.)Let me start off by saying that I am a big fan of what is known as the Mystery Method. Any endeavor you decide to embark on, whether it is Seduction or whatever, is made easier is you have a theory, model or method you can structure your effort around. What really impresses me is "How" they train people to be successful PUA's. Nothing, but nothing can beat "in-the-field" experience.
